Dispute Resolution: Commercial Litigation – Tier 1

Signature’s Paris office has maintained its Tier 1 ranking in Dispute Resolution: Commercial Litigation, with the Guide noting its “ability to handle a diverse portfolio of high-stakes and complex disputes” and “one-of-a-kind cases raising new hot topics, including ESG concerns.” Commentators further describe the team as “extremely efficient” and “very innovative in its approach to clients.”

Partner Thomas Rouhette was again ranked in The Legal 500’s ‘Hall of Fame’ for this practice area. The Guide notes that Thomas “demonstrates rare versatility: an excellent strategist in complex cases, his judgement is sound and always in the long-term interest of his client,” and notes that “his recommendations take into account in-depth understanding of his clients’ strategic and commercial issues.”

Partner Sylvie Gallage-Alwis was again recognised as a ‘Leading Individual.’ Commentators describe Sylvie as “the North Star of product liability and compliance issues.

Partner Jérémie Fierville, and Counsels Mathilde Gérot, Claire Massiera, and Ela Barda were all recognised as ‘Recommended Lawyers’. Jérémie is described by commentators as “excellent, very focused, commercial”, and testimonials praise Ela’s “exceptional communication skills and understanding of customer needs.”

 

Aviation – Tier 2

Signature’s Paris office maintained an impressive Tier 2 ranking in the Aviation category. The Guide notes that the team is “well equipped to handle disputes in the aviation sector, handling claims on behalf of clients such as manufacturers and insurers.”

Partner Thomas Rouhette maintained his ranking in The Legal 500’s ‘Hall of Fame’ for this practice area, and is described by commentators as “a lawyer mastering legal matters with strategic dimension.

Counsels Claire Massiera and Ela Barda were both recognised as ‘Recommended Lawyers’.

 

Insurance – Tier 2

Signature Paris retained a Tier 2 ranking in the Insurance category, with the Guide noting its expertise across “a wide range of insurance disputes, with an emphasis on handling international cases.” Commentators describe the team as “proactive and solution-oriented”, with a “very structured approach, excellent communication and ability to explain to non-lawyers.”

Partners Thomas Rouhette and Emmanuèle Lutfalla were both recognised as ‘Recommended Lawyers’ in this area. 

 

Dispute Resolution: International Arbitration – Tier 5

Signature Paris increased its ranking in Dispute Resolution: International Arbitration, following its debut on the rankings last year. The team is described as “finely tuned with seamless coordination” and commentators note its “responsiveness as well as its tireless determination in defending the interests of its clients.”

Partner Flore Poloni is newly recognised as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ in this area. The Guide notes that she is “incredibly sharp and responsive” and “a pleasure to work with.” Commentators further note that she “implements innovative work and organizational tools within her team to best meet customer needs.”

Partner Philip Dunham was also recognised as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’.

 

Gibraltar Office

Dispute Resolution - Tier 2

Signature Gibraltar retained its Tier 2 ranking in the Dispute Resolution category, with the Guide noting that the team has “an expert blend of international litigation and Gibraltar Court experience.” One commentator, who has “worked with [Signature] for several years”, adds that the team is “very comfortable dealing with matters that involve several different jurisdictions.

Partner Elliott Phillips is again recognised as a ‘Leading Individual’. One commentator notes that Elliott “instinctively understands what his client’s needs are and is careful to test and probe advice to ensure that it is properly focussed on his clients’ objectives,” and another praises him as a “sophisticated and strategic litigator with excellent commercial awareness.”

Counsel Lucy Keane has also been newly recognised as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ in this area. The Guide describes her as “diligent and highly competent.”

Associates Colin Grech and Paul Grant have been recognised as Rising Stars, demonstrating the impressive talent across all levels of Signature Gibraltar’s team. Colin is described by commentators as “a future star – very smart and easy to work with”, whilst Paul is commended as “very responsive, efficient and pragmatic.”
