Associate
Mahau Frenkenberg is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation practice at Signature Litigation’s Paris office, which she joined in February 2026.
Prior to joining the firm, Mahau developed a strong foundation in complex dispute resolution through training and internships at several leading international law firms in Paris. Her experience spans commercial litigation, cross-border dispute resolution, real estate and intellectual property matters, giving her a well-rounded perspective on high-stakes contentious work.
Mahau brings practical experience in managing multi-jurisdictional disputes and coordinating cross-border litigation. She has been involved in large-scale group litigation and regulatory investigations, including matters of significant public interest. Her work has also included advising luxury and consumer brands on contentious intellectual property issues, reflecting her ability to navigate complex commercial and reputational considerations for clients.
In addition to her legal training, Mahau gained valuable commercial insight during her studies through her role as Vice President of a junior consulting enterprise, where she developed leadership and business acumen. This blend of legal expertise and commercial awareness enables her to deliver strategic, client-focused advice.
Mahau began her legal studies with a bachelor’s degree in public law and political science at the Institut Catholique de Paris, which she completed by obtaining a Certificate in Private Law from the same institution. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Private International Law and International Trade Law, under the direction of Professor Louis d’Avout, during which she prepared her final thesis on the aspects of private international law in luxury‑goods litigation, supervised by Professor Marie‑Élodie Ancel.
Mahau is a native French and English speaker with basic professional-level skills in Spanish and Italian.
Mahau was admitted to the Paris Bar on 9 March 2026.
