‘How to Break Into International Arbitration: Useful Resources for Young Practitioners and Students’ is a widely used and relied upon resource in the arbitration community globally and was originated by renowned international arbitrator and mediator, Professor Mark Kantor. Earlier this year, Professor Kantor also joined us for a panel discussion at Paris Arbitration Week 2024, held at our Paris offices and moderated by Partner Tsegaye Laurendeau.
This guide has been instrumental in helping several generations of arbitration lawyers throughout the world navigate the field of arbitration and further their careers, including members of Signature’s arbitration practice.
Arbitration resources for students and young practitioners are plentiful but dispersed across the web. This list consolidates essential links to young arbitration groups, specialised websites, publications, podcasts, moot competitions, law firm newsletters, top law schools with arbitration programs, and online forums into a single, comprehensive reference point.
Partner Flore Poloni and Associate Kimberley Bazelais collaborated with Professor Kantor and Ms. Devna Arora, Georgetown International Arbitration Society student, to refresh the guide with new insights, making it even more relevant for today’s aspiring arbitration practitioners.
This resource is the product of a collaborative effort between the Georgetown International Arbitration Society (GIAS), Signature Litigation, and Young OGEMID. We are grateful to all who contributed to this excellent resource.
We encourage members of the international arbitration community to share this resource widely.
