Ellen is a Paralegal at Signature Litigation’s London office, where she works primarily with the International Arbitration team.

Since joining the firm in December 2025, Ellen has supported the International Arbitration team in complex cross-border disputes, assisted with document review and case preparation, and conducted legal research in investment treaty and commercial arbitration matters.

Prior to joining Signature Litigation, Ellen worked as an International Arbitration Clerk at Arnold & Porter’s London office from June 2024 to September 2025, where she gained experience in drafting, legal research, and hearing preparations, particularly in investment treaty arbitrations. Ellen has also worked in compliance and legal roles within the financial services and manufacturing sectors, where she developed experience in understanding business operations, contract drafting and regulatory matters.

Ellen holds an LLB in Law from the University of Brighton and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Commercial Arbitration from Stockholm University.

Ellen is fluent in Swedish and English.

  • Representing a Malaysian investor in connection with two large-scale mining projects in Poland in a USD 500m ICC investment treaty arbitration involving allegations of expropriation, breaches of the FET and FPS standards, and a breach of the obligation to encourage and create favourable conditions for foreign investors pursuant to the Malaysia-Poland Bilateral Investment Treaty.
  • Representing a global conglomerate engaged in the procurement and export of agricultural commodities with operations across Africa, in relation to a USD 400m investment treaty arbitration against an East African State and involving allegations of expropriation of the investor’s goods and other malfeasances.
  • Representing an ultra-high net worth individual in Swiss arbitration proceedings with the total value of claim in excess of c.USD 150m concerning fraudulent mismanagement of an offshore trust structure – a Panamanian Foundation.
  • Representing a group of investors in a large-scale mining project in Eastern Europe in a USD 150m UNCITRAL investment treaty arbitration claim against the host State involving allegations of expropriation and breaches of the FET standard
  • Representing a LATAM company in several LMAA disputes valued at USD 75m against its JV partner concerning time-charter agreements relating to the provision of services for off-shore oil rigs.
