Christopher Edwards is a Paralegal in Signature’s Gibraltar office.
Prior to joining Signature Litigation, Chris was a Bar Practice Course student and also worked at Peter Caruana & Co.
Chris had mini-pupillage experience at TSN in 2016 and Hassans in 2019. Since September 2025, he has been enrolled in the Postgraduate Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Laws.
Chris’s passion within the legal industry lies primarily in advocacy and adversarial drafting; skills refined while participating in the Bar Practice Course.
Chris has been an executive board member of the Gibraltar Social Democrats since October 2016 and is a Deputy Chairperson of the Youth Section of the party.
Chris is a native English speaker and is also fluent in Spanish.
- Representing the beneficiary of a family trust in multiple contentious trust proceedings with the total value of GBP 2bn concerning privacy, as well as anti-suit injunction proceedings in Gibraltar related to a derivative action against the directors of a listed company in England.
- Representing several defendants in a GBP 10m dispute concerning the ownership and control of digital assets and involving allegations of breach of trust and fiduciary duties. The matter included applications to the Supreme Court of Gibraltar to discharge the WFO and trust preservation orders obtained by the claimants.
- Representing a global operator in the online gaming and sports betting industry in a GBP 30m dispute with its shareholders before the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. The matter concerns the divestiture of shares and US regulatory compliance.
- Representing over 200 institutional claimants with respect to over 1,000 different funds/portfolios in a c. GBP 1.5bn group action claim against Standard Chartered involving allegations of untrue or misleading statements and omissions in information published by the Defendant to the market giving rise to claims under s90 and s90A Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
- Representing liquidators of a trust management company in a groundbreaking matter of sector significance involving administration and subsequent conversion to liquidation of a protected cell company in Gibraltar and recovery of company assets from the previous director. The matter included applications which went up to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Gibraltar.
