Paul Grant

Paul Grant is a Senior Associate at Signature’s Gibraltar office. A well-rounded practitioner with broad litigation experience, he advises clients across a wide range of contentious matters. Paul was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017 and subsequently to the Gibraltar Bar in 2019.

Paul’s practice centres on contentious trusts and estates work. He regularly appears in both the Supreme Court of Gibraltar and the Court of Appeal on matters relating to the administration of trusts.

Company litigation forms a further core area of Paul’s practice. He has represented clients in shareholder and director disputes, as well as in winding up and bankruptcy petitions, and applications for injunctive relief including worldwide freezing orders.

Paul also maintains a broad commercial practice. He has advised on financial regulatory matters and represented GibFibre Limited, a broadband provider, in a ground-breaking competition law claim against the state-owned telecommunications provider, Gibtelecom Limited, under the Competition Act 2020-the first of its kind in Gibraltar.

In addition, Paul advises on defamation and privacy matters and has been instructed in connection with inquests and public inquiries. He is a member of the Gibraltar Medical Registration Board, which regulates the professional conduct of registered medical practitioners.

Paul is recognised as a ‘Leading Associate’ in The Legal 500 EMEA 2026 Guide for Dispute Resolution in Gibraltar, where he is described as the “complete package: clever and thoughtful in his analysis; clear and cogent in his written and oral expression; dependable and indefatigable.” He is also ranked as an Associate to Watch in Chambers Europe 2026 who “displays remarkable agility, consistently thinking on his feet and acting swiftly.”

Before entering the legal profession, Paul spent several years working as a broadcast journalist.

Paul is a native English speaker and is fluent in Spanish.
